Calypso Coral is a porous stone that should be sealed with a high-quality penetrating stone or marble sealer to close its pours and keep it from staining or attracting mold or mildew.
If Calypso Coral is stained, typically a simple bleach & water solution will remove it and bring the coral back to its original color without damage.
If Calypso Coral is not sealed, the material will collect mold & mildew in the pores & holes & turn black giving the material the “Old World Castle Look” that is often sought after by Designers & Architects.
Coral Classics recommends "Dry Treat Sealer" & products.
